Animal NY did a little piece on what they think the origin is of the shutter shades that have swept the nation, thanks to Kanye West. It apparently started in this budget C-list 80’s flick titled “Summer School.” Not to be outdone, some other blogger came out of no where and found earlier evidence; Bruce Lee’s The Last Dragon, and some new wave video. Either way, the 80’s relic is now donned by many-a-club-goer on drunken nights and Glow In the Dark tour stops.
