Oh, Peedi…

Should I start making FREE CRAKK t-shirts now that Peedi’s in some trouble?

I’m a little late with this, but if you haven’t seen it, it’s pretty dope. Weezy is apparently going to be a guest blogger for ESPN.com. In his first installment, he writes about the teams he likes and the NFL. I’m not sure how I feel about him droppin’ Ben Roethlisberger though.

T-Wayne played football as a kid and I bet you can’t guess which position he played.

I grew up playing football. Believe it or not, I was a fullback. When I was nine, ten, eleven, I was a great blocker. I knew how to block real good and the other kids didn’t.

This isn’t exactly “new” news, as he has been saying this for a few months, but it’s the internet age, and we don’t take things seriously until there’s a video of you saying something you mean.

According to Scarface, his newest album Emeritus, will be his last solo effort. He says it will have to be a collabo album, with someone like Nas, Jay-Z, or Ice Cube, to bring him out of “retirement.”

Download: 6th Sense- Love Lockdown

I was waiting to see what some people would do with all the stems Kanye released the other day to “Love Lockdown.” Sure enough, 6th Sense has came through first (to me) with something real cool. He does his own thing with it, which I’ll let him tell you about:

Since Kanye released the stems to his new joint, I went ahead and created something original in which I kicked a verse on. The whole thing is really far out there, but it’s extremely deep and the stream of word play is what makes it. Props to Kanye West & Andre 3000.

And the lyrics aren’t dry at all, check out them out inside.

Now this inspired me even more to hit the lab and continue workin’ on my own.

I always liked her since a friend of mine told me about her a lil ways back. She’s creative and I know I won’t get shitty songs and videos from her that were done on budgets bigger than the first Star Wars movie.

Download: D.I.T.C.- (D-Flow, OC, AG, & Boss Money) - Hard Hit (Prod. by Amed)

I guess that’s what it’s gonna have to be. One of my favorite crews, ever, will be releasing a new album November 18th, called The Movement. It’s just never going to be the same without Big L if you ask me, but if its the full DITC (including Finesse), then I am satisfied. And I wouldn’t leave ya hangin’, here’s a cut off the new album, “Hard Hit.”

Thanks to eskay.

Thanks for stayin’ tuned… if ya did. Part of the thing that sucks about running a site yourself is that when you’re MIA, your site may as well be too. Had to take a few days off for some personal reasons, but I’m back now, so let’s get it rollin’ like usual.

Unfortunately my friend Black ELement was unable to release his debut LP today, A Majority Minority. It happens sometimes, but he’ll come through. Read it from the horse’s mouth:

So this time, A Major Minority will be released very soon, but I’m not giving a date until everything is complete. No reasoning, just know its not done and extra touches are being put on the right spots.
-EL

But until then, he’s not one to leave us hangin’. He showed me this track last night, and I’m really feelin’ it. You ever wish you could have that feel you had when you first heard a record like the Black Star record? And now how like, everyone tries to make it and it just sounds old. Well, not with this. It’s got that same flavor and feel, but is what it is: real, new, and different. It doesn’t hurt when you put Jelani on the track either. Check it out, you won’t be sorry.

Ain’t nothin’ like a song called “Money” to get your mind off the recession.

This brand new track comes courtesy of my man Front Page, who was featured on The NU Tape. You’ll be seeing a lot more of him very soon. And if he keeps coming like this, it’s going to be something to look forward to. The track is produced by fellow NU-Tape alum, Ryan “The Captain” Durkin.
