Freeway announced today that he and producer Jake-One will be releasing an album together this summer, titled The Stimulus Package. A name like that better deliver, and I’m already giving Free and Jake the benefit of the doubt, considering “The Truth” was one of the best tracks of 2008. It’s definitely a sight to see when you see one producer and one MC get together for an album these days. It’s funny how it doesn’t happen more often really.

Now the only question left is whether or not this is a Roc album…

I was reading the latest XXL today, particularly Cam’s cover article and one thing stood out to me above anything else: Cam has class. I will repeat that; He’s a classy guy. I know that may seem hard to believe considering how flamboyant he is, with magazine covers like this…

But he handled the questions about Jim Jones and the rest of Dipset with very sincere responses, and refused to slam any of the dudes. If anything, he expressed concern for them, the way a big brother would. No matter what though, he always insisted he’s in control. There were times where he was pressed for answered by the interviewer, but he never flipped (at least not in the version we’re all reading). It was hard not to appreciate his honesty about the experience of his absence due to his mom’s illness.

By the way, I’m not a Cam stan. That disclaimer is probably needed any time Cam gets praised, huh?

Wiz Khalifa ain’t the only man holding down the home of the Super Bowl champs. At least not if Boaz has anything to say about it. Above is his latest video from his debut album The Audiobiography, in stores March 17.

Now the only thing I’m waiting for from either of these guys is a Super Bowl victory song. The clock’s tickin… you don’t have much longer…

DOWNLOAD: Reflection Eternal ft. Bootsy Collins - Internet Connection
LISTEN:

I didn’t think I’d hear anything new from Reflection Eternal until their SXSW showcase next month, so this is a welcome surprise. I was even more surprised to see it was a song about the internet… featuring Bootsy Collins. I figured a song about the internet would feature Joe Budden, Consequence, or someone who posts a daily vblog with constant tweets. You won’t hear me complaining about this track though, I’m just sayin’…

It was a little surprising to hear this kind of sound from Hi-Tek, but once I heard Bootsy Collins on the track, it all made sense.

Think I’m lying?

He also samples porn DVDs.

How cool is that studio in a box though? Considering a guy like that moves around a lot, and wants to be able to produce to his full potential anywhere he goes, I think that metal box was a good investment. When you break it down though, it’s just a flashy way to carry around your monitors/speakers… why not just get a laptop, Pain?

(yeah yeah, Mac Pro is better…)

It’s a habit of all good writers and bloggers these days to keep up with what’s going on in the video realm. Sometimes we see way too much of things we don’t really want to see and other times, like in this case, things that are worth watching fall far under our radar.

Who am I kidding, the fact I like watching videos on the internet doesn’t equal a good work ethic. Anyway…

The bright side is that I found Outasight’s videos, with the help of 6th Sense and the Notherground Blog. In addition to this, 6th’s own Notherground TV, and Joe Budden TV… there aren’t many more artist videos that I can consistently recommend (off the top of my head, no hate-mail please).

Above is episode 5, which follows Outasight to the MTVU Woodie’s Awards and to the studio with 6th Sense. If you didn’t know by now, I’m a big fan of studio footage.

I’d highly recommend checkin’ out Outasight (he does more than make good webisodes). Look forward to more Outasight on 2ManyMCs real soon.

I like high res videos, especially since we have the ability to do it easily now.

Anyway, the internet’s most popular rapper these days took some time to do an interview with Eighty81. I like this guy because it seems like he actually gives thought to his answers and he enjoys talking to interviewers (see the Complex interview for another example).

DOWNLOAD: Kanye West ft. T-Pain - Flight School
LISTEN:

Wow, Ye rapping again. Without the autotune. I really missed this. And that’s not a shot at 808’s either.

After listening to it a few times, it seems like Ye’s been really working on his rap game too.

DOWNLOAD: The Dream ft. Kanye West- Walking on the Moon
LISTEN:

Via NMC tonight, The Dream leaked some singles off his upcoming album, Love vs. Money. This was one them, featuring Mr. West, who has been reported/rumored to be interested in making an album with The Dream. Those talks were further ignited yesterday on 106 & Park, after Kanye said The Dream is his favorite artist right now.

And hey, Kanye raps on the track too.

I guess that won’t be news anymore soon enough, according to what he’s told Sway.
