Drake said, unequivocally, he isn’t dissing Tupac Shakur on “Fear.” He’s just pointing out that he was too young to fully feel the impact of the music icon at the time of his passing.

“I never cried when ‘Pac died,” Drake raps on the song from his So Far Gone EP. “But I probably will when Hov does/ And if my tears hold value, then I would drop one for every single thing he showed us/ And I’ll be standing in a puddle.”
-via MTV

Was it even necessary for him to explain this? Did people REALLY think he was going at Tupac? I never use “smh” but I think it may be merited here.

Cuz I’m shaking my head.

XVThere’s just something about this dude that always draws me in. The same goes for his latest verse over Drakes’ Uptown. He’s an artist that I am truly looking forward to what he brings to the game down the line, but for now check this jawn!

DOWNLOAD: Wiz Khalifa - Ode to Naked Pop Stars

Ever since the Panamanian girls caused Pan-demonium (that was lame) and the ode song by BK Cyph dropped, you knew that it was going to become the norm when any interesting pictures came out.

Well Rihanna just had to one up Cassie, and Wiz Khalifa had to one-up the rest of the rap world with his own ode/freestyle. And here it is, over Drake’s “You the Best” beat. This was some week for pop starlets, sheeeeet.

DOWNLOAD: Drake- Take You Down

…Or whatever you do over R&B beats (pause?). You know how Drake likes to dip into the R&B stuff. This is a new track from Drizzy Drake that’s set to be released on a new mixtape titled, The Drought Is Over: Friends With Money. That mixtape may or may not be an official release from his camp, but if I had my money on it, I’d say no. It looks like it’ll be a “true mixtape,” with the rhymes over mainstream beats and all that. So Far Gone may as well have been a LP.

Here it is, the second half of the Drake show at URI on Wednesday. My apologies for not getting it out Friday evening, but early Saturday morning ain’t too awful. I’ll have these on Vimeo later today, but for now, enjoy the YouTube quality.

Thanks to B Nyce for helping edit all this, and a big shout out to all the URI students checking these videos out.

Hit the jump at the bottom for a bonus clip of Drake addressing the ladies at URI. I’m still amazed at how everyone knew every single lyric.

Here’s the first of the footage from Wednesday night’s Drake show at URI (besides the preview I posted yesterday). The video above is the fully edited and cut version of “Congratulations,” and below are “Unstoppable,” “Uptown,” and “Successful,” in the order he played them at the show. We had two cameras in the building, so we edited the shots together.

Please excuse the lighting if you can. The venue had terrible lighting (or none at all). The videos will be available in HD/high quality soon, if they aren’t by the time you’re viewing this.

We’ll be dropping Part 2, (ie: the rest of the show) later today, so check back.

Thanks to CL500 Entertaiment and 500 RECORDS for putting on the event.

Yep, this is why the 2ManyMCs crew was out in Rhode Island last night/early this morning. We were filming the Drake show at URI. Now, I don’t wanna gas anything up, but we may have the best footage of a Drake show thus far. This is just a tiny taste of what we’ll have droppin’ throughout the day for you. And I really mean a tiny taste because we’ve got the whole show…. from much better angles than this. We roll deep.

In the meantime, enjoy “Congratulations.”

If the video above doesn’t work, click here to watch it.

Remember when everyone was talking about Just Blaze, Drake (and possibly Jay) in the studio? Well here’s a little proof of 2/3 of that collabo coming together. It looks like this was streamed live at some point.

Skip to the end if you want to see the bulk of the actual music.

Do you realize how huge it is to have the whole crowd singing along with your track when it’s not even a single, or on an album?

Good-bye to CD sales forever

Drake and Just Blaze hinted yesterday on Twitter at a collabo between him and Jay-Z, and on Angie Martinez’s show today, Drake confirmed he’s “working with New York’s finest.”

Thanks to Rap Radar for the audio.
