Pittsburgh, stand up! I was gonna hold off from gloating, but damn, my Steelers are 6 time Super Bowl champs! Who better discuss Pittsburgh with than Pittsburgh’s own Wiz Khalifa. Wiz gets a lot of love around here, and for good reason. He just broke us off with 3 freestyles over some beats you’ve probably been hearing a lot of lately. Wiz also dropped a lil video of the freestyles, which he did all in one night. Check it after the jump.

Pittsburgh’s own takes a stab at Ye’s opener on 808’s. Drake showed you the potential it has for rappers, and I don’t think Khalifa falls short at all.

Go Steelers.

Download: Drake- “Say You Will” Freestyle

I thought this was among the best cuts from 808’s & Heartbreak, and I was definitely looking forward to hearing the inevitable freestyles, and Drake has delivered. I’m not only saying he delivered with the very fact he gave us a freestyle, but it’s actually a good one. Drake’s good MC to keep your eye on too.

By now you’ve probably heard Lupe is retiring after his next album, LupEND, which will be a three disc set. Above is what appears to be a freestyle at a recent show Lupe did, which I guess should serve as a preview of what’s to come.

I’m kinda curious why Lupe wants to retire. It’s rare for a someone, especially a rapper, to realize they will not be relevant or in the limelight forever. If Lupe is retiring for that reason, I give him credit for not letting hubris let him rap into the retirement homes. However, don’t you think Lupe has more in him than that? He’s a guy to me that could be next in line to get on that super-star status of Kanye West or Lil Wayne. At the very least, I could see him going a little longer than he apparently wants to.

Then again, Jay-Z is supposed to be retired too.

Download: Jin - Love Lockdown Freestyle

Time to let the “Love Lockdown” freestyles pour in. This is one of the first I’ve heard, and it’s a pretty good one. I always liked Jin, and I thought he could be more than a battle rapper (RIP Battle Rap, by the way). I think the industry tried to mold him too much and it didn’t always fit. He’s living in China now, so who knows what’s in store for him in the US (he’s making Chinese hip-hop the last I heard). Regardless, when he’s himself, he really holds it down. And he does that here. Check it out. Thanks to 2dopeboyz for this.

I thought it was kind of cool to see The Teacha spittin’ over a G-Unit beat. Thank Christ he didn’t use the vocoder.
